The DISA Club idea originated with Mario Mauro and Roberto Balboni, two of our loyal DISA Customers. At this stage about 95% of our customers are members. The main benefit we have seen has been the sharing of information regarding maintenance of the machines, as well as the foundries assisting each other with emergency spares (these spares are then ordered from DISA and returned). Both of the benefits have resulted in less down time at our foundries. We also distribute technical and pricing information via email to assist with the maintenance of the units. Whilst DISA offer efficient back-up service, we believe our initiative complements the DISA traditional service network.

Comments from the DISA Foundries:
Transwerk Foundries, Louis Nel: “Thanks to the DISA Club we only lost one days production when a critical electronic card failed. If not for the contacts made through the Club we may have stood for a week.”
Auto Industrial Foundry, Mario Mauri: “The DISA Club proved its worth when I needed it most! The Thursday before Easter I discovered that the 2040H0391 on my DISA needed urgent replacing. Thanks to our Club I received a unit from a local foundry on the same day!”
As the Club progresses we will look at facilitating meetings with a technical aspect, but also focusing on getting to know each other in a social setting. The growth from that point will be determined by the group itself, we foresee that the Club should become a self-sustaining entity, and that ideas for the future should come from our members.
