Desanding and Decoring PDF Print E-mail
DISA Shot Blast.jpgThe DISA range of shot blast machines for foundries includes 4 main machine systems which meet all requirements of modern foundries regarding parts to be blast cleaned, production quantity and product flow, handling and operating principle. Depending on the operating principle, intermittent cleaning of batches, continuous or combined operation can be offered.

1.1 Batch

The cost effective solution for tumble-proof parts.

Offer many applications for blast cleaning and handling of workpieces. Major advantages are: Compact and simple design, well proven operating principle, high cleaning capacity, gentle tumbling to fully expose all surfaces of the workpiece, reliable removal of abrasive from internal passages. The product range includes a comprehensive range of machines for desanding and decoring of castings and for descaling of forgings or heat-treated workpieces.

1.2 Continuous Through-Feed

Continuous material flow, consistent blasting quality.

Continuous shot blast machines automate production and create a more human work environment. They provide for clear-cut production processes with minimum space requirements, short transport distances without intermediate storage and thus reduce the operating costs.

1.3 Hanger Type

Cleaning and transport task solutions.

Desanding or decoring of pieces susceptible to impact damage, descaling and reconditioning in the metalworking industry, are classic applications for hanger-type machines. Workpieces on hangers opens up a number of possibilities for optimum material flow and facilitates functional and system-specific solutions for blast cleaning.

with 2 or 3 chambers are specifically suitable for surface treatment of aluminium castings.

1.4 Manipulator Type

Manipulator shot blast systems meet highest demands and stand out for their excellent cleaning effect in numerous fields of applications.

Classical examples are:

Desanding, decoring and surface finishing in foundries: Crankcases, cylinder heads, gear housings and other vehicle parts made of cast iron or light metal (sand, gravity or pressure-die castings).
